Wisconsin, Pitt Advance to Sunday’s Greenbrier Tip-Off Title Game
A sellout crowd of 1,112 fans and a CBS Sports Network audience saw Wisconsin and Pitt punch tickets to the Greenbrier Tip-Off Mountain Division championship game on Friday afternoon. The Badgers and Panthers will meet at 5:30 p.m. ET on Sunday for the inaugural tournament title. LSU will face UCF in the third-place game at 3 p.m., with both games airing on CBS Sports Network.
In the first semifinal, Pitt scored a 74-63 win over LSU to continue its undefeated start to the season. Jaland Lowe once again led the way for the Panthers, finishing with a game-high 22 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals in the contest. Ishmael Leggett finished with 21 points, six rebounds and five steals, Cameron Corhen had 14 points and Zack Austin finished with 10.
LSU held a one-point lead at the break, but Pitt shot nearly 64 percent from the floor in the second half and finished 16-of-18 from the line in the final 20 minutes – all while holding LSU to just 37 percent shooting throughout the game.
The Tigers were led by Vyctorius Miller and Jalen Reed, who finished with 14 points apiece.
Meanwhile Wisconsin jumped out to an early lead against UCF and never let up in its 86-70 victory in the day’s second semifinal.
The Badgers led by as many as 22 points in the first half to put the pressure on the Knights early in the game. Wisconsin held UCF to just 34 percent shooting in the game, and 29 percent in the first half as the Badgers went into the break leading 46-31.

Jordan Ivy-Curry had 13 points to lead UCF, while Keyshawn Hall and Dior Johnson each added 11.
