WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va. (Nov. 22, 2024) – The inaugural Mountain Division of the Greenbrier Tip-Off gets underway this afternoon at the Greenbrier Resort, with the four participating teams entering the weekend with a perfect 18-0 mark. The fan excitement has matched the on-court play as tickets for the two-day tournament are sold out.

At 2:30 p.m. ET, LSU (4-0) faces Pitt (5-0), while Wisconsin (5-0) will take on UCF (4-0) at approximately 5 p.m. in Friday’s two semifinal games. Third-place and championship games are set for 3 and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. All games will be televised live by CBS Sports Network. Jack Benjamin and Matt McCall will have the call throughout the weekend.

Each of the four programs have put forth excellent starts to the season. Pitt has outscored its opponents by 143 points to start the season, an average margin of victory of 28.6 points per game, and is seeking its first 6-0 start since 2018-19. LSU has looked impressive in its first four games of the season, highlighted by a road victory over Kansas State. The Tigers also boast a margin of victory of 17.0 points per game in their first four games of the year.

UCF, which opened the season with a victory over No. 13 Texas A&M, is 4-0 for the third time under head coach Johnny Dawkins. The Knights are also seeking their third-straight in-season tournament title. Wisconsin has seen similar success in early-season tournaments, having won the Fort Myers Tip-Off last season. The Badgers have also been impressive in the early start to this season, starting 5-0 for the first time since 2018-19 and recording a dominant victory over top-10 foe Arizona on Nov. 15.
