WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va. (Aug. 20, 2026) – Six more games have been added to the 2026 Greenbrier Tip-Off event schedule, setting the stage for nine contests to be played at The Greenbrier under the event umbrella over two weekends from Nov. 13-22.

The newest additions to The Greenbrier Tip-Off schedule include George Washington, Liberty, Rhode Island, Richmond, UAB and Western Kentucky. Each team will play two games as part of the Tip-Off schedule on Nov. 20 and 22, creating a second fully programmed weekend of college basketball action inside Colonial Hall at The Greenbrier.

Notables: In 13 total seasons as the head coach at Liberty, McKay has won nearly 300 games, including 10 seasons with 20 or more wins, while leading the Flames to 11 conference titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances … McKay enters the season after guiding Liberty to a second straight Conference USA regular-season championship and earning CUSA Coach of the Year honors … The Flames will reload after losing much of last year’s rotation, adding transfer guards Cobi and Cooper Campbell from Troy and NJCAA All-American Sean Register Jr. from Eastern Florida State.

Rhode Island

Notables: Miller enters his fifth season at Rhode Island with a more stable roster after bringing back six scholarship players from last year’s team … The Rams return starters Jonah Hinton and Jahmere Tripp and added three veteran transfers, highlighted by Towson guard Dylan Williamson, a three-time CAA all-conference honoree who averaged 14.6 points and 3.4 assists last season.

Richmond

Notables: Mooney is entering his 22nd season with the Spiders as the winningest coach in program history, having won 373 games in his tenure with Richmond … The Spiders will return A10 All-Rookie Team guard Aiden Argabright, their second-leading scorer at nearly 11 ppg last season, and welcome all-conference transfer in Amon Dorries (Bucknell), who led the Bison with 16.2 ppg last year.

UAB
Head Coach: Andy Kennedy
2025-26 Record: 20-12

Notables: Andy Kennedy enters his seventh season at UAB after guiding the Blazers to a sixth straight 20-win campaign in 2025-26 … UAB went 9-0 in conference play, becoming just the second team in American Conference history to finish undefeated in league action, joining 2022-23 Houston … The Blazers also won 10 straight road games, tied for the third-longest road winning streak in the country last season behind Miami (OH) and Michigan … UAB will have a heavily rebuilt roster this year, with 11 newcomers and just one returner from last season’s team: sophomore guard Salim London, a local product who averaged 19.7 minutes, made 12 starts and scored nearly five points per game as a freshman … Key newcomers include Saluce Jones (Saint Joseph’s), Justyn Fernandez (Delaware), Elijah Duval (Southern Utah) and Aleks Alston (Maryland).

Western Kentucky

Notables: Plona enters his third season at WKU after guiding the Hilltoppers to an 18-win campaign and a third-place finish in Conference USA … WKU returns five backcourt players, led by All-CUSA First Team selection Teagan Moore, who averaged 18.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, and Armelo Boone with 10.6 points per game. The Hilltoppers also add transfers including Sharron Young (Akron), EJ Walker (South Carolina), Trevion LaBeaux (East Carolina) and Emondrek Erkins-Ford (Jax State).
