WHITE SULPHER SPRINGS, W.Va. (March 5, 2024) – Intersport and The Greenbrier have announced plans for the inaugural The Greenbrier Tip-Off, which will take place at the world-renowned resort in the picturesque foothills of the Allegheny Mountains on Nov. 22-24. In 2023, Intersport and The Greenbrier entered into a long-term partnership to bring major college basketball to the mountain resort destination. Radford and Marshall met in a standalone contest on Nov. 10 in front of a soldout crowd of more than 1,000 fans at Colonial Hall at the famed resort.

“The Radford-Marshall game hosted at The Greenbrier earlier this season was a fantastic success for all involved,” said Jill Justice, D.O., President of The Greenbrier. “We can’t wait to take that to a new level with The Greenbrier Tip-Off. We are excited about welcoming new teams and new fan bases to learn about what has made The Greenbrier ‘America’s Resort’ for nearly 250 years. It will be an unforgettable experience.”

“The Greenbrier is not only a premium vacation experience, but also a world-class partner that offers unmatched hospitality, which are all important components in creating an amazing early season college basketball event,” said Mark Starsiak, vice president of basketball at Intersport. “The staff at The Greenbrier is the best at what they do and are eager to create a truly standalone experience for teams, fans and sponsors. We’re excited to work together as we expand The Greenbrier Tip-Off field this year and continue to explore opportunities for programming in the years to come.”
